Piolet penalised under ECB Discipline Code

The England and Wales Cricket Board’s Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) today confirmed that Steffan Piolet (Sussex) has received a penalty under the ECB’s Directives.

Piolet was reported by umpires Paul Pollard and Nick Hall during Sussex’s Second XI Friendly match against Middlesex April 14th-16th 2015 for a Level One breach of the code (using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or making an obscene gesture).

The penalty for this offence is a reprimand. This penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
